"Glossybox" March 2012

My Glossybox arrived this morning!
This box is all about maintaining fresh and vibrant look with an active lifestyle! Sounds good to me as I have been more active than usual recently.

So what's in the box....
1. The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter 8 ml
I like TBS body butters however they are too rich for me to be used all over. I am quite keen to try this one on my legs, hands and feet. I tested it in store and it was very yum!
2 + 3. Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser and Gentle Toner 50 ml each.
I always wanted to try Avene so now is a great opportunity. I do get irritations and breakouts from certain products so hopefully this range will be a winner for me. It smells beautiful too, very subtle yet pleasant.
4. Klorane Dry Shampoo 50 ml
I've been using this product for years. It is perfect if you don't have time to wash your hair but want it to look good. I also use it as a volumising product, I just spray it and don't brush it out for some extra body. I already have full size bottle but this one is perfect for my gym bag.

5. Thin Lizzy Concealer Creme in Oriental Doll, 7.5 ml
This concealer provides very good coverage. I think it is a bit dark for my skin tone to be used as an under eye concealer but works great on other areas.
6. Power Balancing Bracelet
I don't really believe that silicone bracelet has magic powers. Will be giving this one away

Glossybox delivered a great selection of products again! Well done.

    I am doing exactly the same with the power balance band. As soon as i opened my glossy box up at work everyone came at me to tell me that it has been proven they don't work. Which i had heard before.

    I received the exact same box, from what i understand they mix the products around a bit?

Buyers Beware - Fake OPI nail polish!

Fake anything especially make-up makes me very angry! Yesterday I was browsing Ebay because I wanted to get some OPI nail polishes and came across few clearly fake ones. I got few OPIs from Ebay and never had an issue. Mine came from US sellers who charged US retail prices for their polishes. They sold lots and lots of them and seemed to specialize in nail products. Yesterday I came across few lots of "OPI" nail polishes. I saw fair dew lots from sellers who don't particularly specialize in nail products. They were "factory seconds" and were missing a label. The shades were very random and I never saw those shades in OPI collections. However I know that some counterfeit OPIs will have a lable with colour name on it. I had my Tragus pierced today!

It is something I wanted to do for few week now. I always liked the look of multiple earrings and even pierced a second hole in my ear when I was 11 (which then I took out and it eventually healed). Tragus piercing to me looked very appealing but painful. However after speaking to few people who had it done I realised it doesn't seem to be as bad. Today I summoned my courage and called Cosmetics Plus at Carindale. They told me to come in as Fridays are usually not very busy. I've applied plenty of EMLA numbing cream on the area 30 min before (however I was told it is best to apply it 45 to 60 min prior). The whole process took 10 minutes and set me back $35 including the earring.     The girl who did my piercing was very nice and friendly.
