Bellabox November 2013

Image
This month Bellabox arrived a bit later than usual (I got mine yesterday).  The theme of this month is "Refreshing Beauty". I though it would be a bit more Christmas-y since we are less than month away now.  There was four skincare items 1. Puretan Purebronze Light-Medium Lotion 15 ml (value $2.25) I like small tubes of self-tanner because they are great for holidays. This one is tinted and has very nice scent plus you have to wash it off in one hour. 2. Wilde Organics E'Lustrous Shea (value $4) I gather it is a body butter. It is meant to be all organic and natural but I am not a huge fan. a) The scent is not the most pleasant and I like my products to smell nice...and b)RRP $40 for 150 ml? I can get some organic shea and coconut oil from health food store and make my own for way less. I can see myself using it on my feet and elbows. 3. Indio SOS Gel - Redness Rescue (value $14.40) I don't really suffer from excessive redness. I only get rosy cheeks ...

Birthday Week!

Image
My birthday was on Tuesday, 19/11 but the celebrations continued the whole week! This is my last 20-something celebration and I got lots of love and amazing gifts from family and friends! Plus I received $20 reward from Witchery, $25 from Saba and $30 from Mimco. My families (mum and in-laws) gifted me money but they made sure that I spent it on myself! So I got L'Occitane goodies and Witchery Jelly Sandals From my awesome friends I got Ciate Foil Nail Kit, Cat Pillowcases (because I am a crazy cat lady), Tea Two Set and Mini USB Salt Lamp I gifted myself with L'Artisan Perfumeur Couer de Vertiver Sacre Fragrance and new Zelda Game ...and the most special gift was received from my husband...he got me my first ever bike! On my actual birthday me and DH took a day off work and went to Wet'n'Wild on the Gold Coast. It was my first time there so I it was mega fun. At night we gathered for small-ish dinner with friends so the day turned out per...

Chemist Warehouse Sally Hansen GWP

Image
It has been a while since I last purchased a nail polish so naturally I was really tempted when I saw Sally Hansen promo in fairly recent Chemist Warehouse catalogue.    With purchase of $20 or over you get this generous gift with purchase which includes Gem Nail polish, Crackle Top Coat, Mega Shine Top Coat (which I used to have and love but it got dropped and smashed) and a nail file.  I got two Fuzzy Coat nail polishes and Nail Polish Remover (all up cost me $21.47). Fuzzy Coats look super fun, I'll use them a lot during the upcoming holiday season. Gem Crush is beautiful, reminds me of  Katy Perry for OPI "The one that got away" nail polish but with holo glitter.

Amazing Freebie from Oscar Oscar Hair Salon

Image
Oscar Oscar is celebrating their birthday this months and they are giving away 50 ml Kerastase Elixir Ultime! All you have to do is take a selfie and tag them on Instagram (go to http://www.oscaroscar.com.au/ for T&C) I was very close to purchasing this oil couple of weeks ago when strawberrynet had their daily special and it was discounted (got sold out very quickly). It is a lot lighter than the original Morrocanoil and it smells like coconut and rum! You need a tiny drop to make your hair shiny and smooth. I have fine blond straight hair and this product suits it well. I prefer the scent of the Morrocanoil but this one wins when it comes to texture.

Bellabox October 2013

Yes, I've signed up to Bellabox again. It was fun to receive a parcel filled with new products to try. I eventually unsubscribed because some boxes contained a lot of products I simply wouldn't use. This edition of Bellabox is their 2nd anniversary addition so I knew it would be good. Plus L'Occitane (one of my favorite skincare brands) joined them!  Here is what I got in my box: 1. Alfaparf Diamond Shampoo 60 ml and Conditioner 50 ml (value $11.60) Illiminating shampoo for normal hair that is free from Sulphates, Parabens, Parrafins, Mineral Oil, Coloring and Allergens. Comes is very generous trial size. 2. L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream 10 ml (value $2.60) I've tried this hand cream before and it is one of the best. Good handbag size. 4. Bioderma Sebum Exfoliating Gel 15 ml (value $3.75) I've heard a lot of good things about Bioderma and been recently obsessing over French skincare as I find it suits my European skin well. Plus I'm sure ...

Rapid change of seasons made me realise that I need (or rather want) to get few things. I was in Singapore couple of months ago where I discovered Acqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo range  I sprayed Arancia di Capri on my wrist and couldn't stop sniffing it throughout the day. I was exploring the city so I didn't end up going back to buy it. I like to wear my fragrances for couple of hours anyway because some of them can go from nice to nasty on my skin. Couple of week I saw Acqua di Parma at Queen's Plaza David Jones and couldn't resist getting Arancia di Capri. I love all of them and it was hard to choose but I couldn't resist sweet citrus scent of Arancia. It is describes as "Sunny as this radiant and relaxing fragrance. Its soothing notes of perfume produce a deep sensation of harmony, as when contemplating Capri’s idyllic landscape. Top notes bring us juicy freshness of orange, Sicilian mandarin, bergamot and luminous, bitter grapefruit. A heart i...

September Empties

Image
As you can see September was a very "productive" months for me. I managed to use 11 items and freed some much needed space. 1. Nivea Exfoliating Wipes  They rubbery texture that supposed to exfoliate but unfortunately they don't remove make-up well. Won't buy them again. 2. KMS Moist Repair Conditioner  One of the best conditioners I've tried. Could easily rival some hair masks on the market. It made my hair very soft and smelled very nice. Will buy it again once I finish the lot I currently have. 3. David Jones Body Wash for Men with Pepper and Cashmere  I got it in previous DJ "sampler tote". I actually likes this product, it didn't irritate or dry out my and had pleasant spicy scent. Not sure if I get it again as there are a lot of good body washes within similar price range. 4. Formula 10.0.6 Purifying Face Wipes    Very generic wipes, didn't remove make-up as well as I would like them to. Won't ge...
