 I actually finished 20 item in the last three months and threw away a huge bag of lip glosses and lipsticks that I haven't used for a while and figured out won't have an urge to use in the future. I am happy with a small selection of lipsticks, few lip glosses and few lip balm floating around my bags and drawers. I also went on few trips so it helped me to finish few travel-sized products I had stashed away.   1. L'Occitane Verbena shower gel (travel size) My overall impression - Thick clear shower gel that foams up nicely. Oh and the scent is gorgeous, I actually prefer it to the perfume version. Would I buy it again? - I wouldn't say no to it if I got it as a GWP or on sale but I probably wouldn't pay full price for this product. Due to recent Chemist Warehouse Sales my Revlon Lip Butter collection has tripled.  New addition include Strawberry Shortcake, Sorbet, Wild Watermelon and Candy Apple. Prior to that I went for more subtle Creme Brulee and Sugar Frosting. I am still shy to wear bright colours during the day but Lip Butters sheer colour and even coverage makes them perfect for any occasion. They feel very light and smooth on lips and have very mild vanilla scent. IMO their moisturising properties are ok but not excellent so I still wear my lip balm regularly. When I went shopping on 26/12 it was way too busy to browse properly...so I had to go again. My first stop was Chemist Warehouse. The had 50% off Maybelline, Rimmel and Revlon  I got Kate Moss for Rimmel matte lipstick in 107 - deep burgundy red, Maybelline Master Liner in Brown (I had this one before and it was pretty good, plus I find brown liners are more flattering for me than black ones). 1. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation  A lot of people rave about this foundation because it is VERY pigmented and gives moderate to heavy coverage while being quite liquid. On me it looked like a mask and after few uses I realised that it is blocking my pores and causing mild breakout. I ended up mixing it with another foundation and eventually finished the whole bottle but I definitely can say that it is not a HG foundation for me. 2. Clarins Beauty Flash Balm  This product is loved by many people because it is very moisturising and makes skin glow (in a wet, not shimmery way). It was way too rich for my combination skin and cause breakouts. I also prefer primers with shimmery particles rather than oily consistency to make my skin glow. 3. Another 10 items were finished by me recently. My collection is looking much better than before however I had few slip ups when Priceline and Strawberrynet had sales :) 1. Sohum Gingersnap Roll-on Perfume   My overall impression - It smelled very nice and gourmand, however the scent didn't last very long. I liked layering it with other fragrances to give them a spicy note. It also disappeared fairly quickly (mine was a roll-on, not spray like pictured), I suspect it evaporated. Would I buy it again? - Possibly not, unless the lasting power has been improved. 2. Clinique Superbalanced Powder My overall impression - the concept looked quite good - you "shave" pressed powder so you get fresh product each time you use it. However it gave very boring and flat finish, although coverage was ok. Would I buy it again? - No, you can get very similar Rimmel powder for about 1/3 of the price. I prefer either very translucent finishing powders or more opaque one...

At one time I went through a phase of buying expensive make-up thinking that cheaper alternatives won't do a very good job. Yes, there are certain HG products that cost fair bit and you just have to bite a bullet and splurge on them. However I've discovered lots of great make-up items for under $30.
