Boxing Day Sales 2016

Image
Today I got up nice and early so I could beat the mad rush and get to the boxing sales early. I wasn't brave enough to go to my local shopping centre as the parking over there would be nearly impossible to find so Brisbane CBD seemed like a better idea. I scored a parking spot only 10 minute walk to the shopping precinct and arrived to the shops at 9 20 am. David Jones was my first stop and let me tell you it was already packed. I quickly made my way to Guerlain counter and the perfume selection and there was nothing that grabbed my attention. On my way out I've spotted Kiehl's Midnight recovery 15ml reduced to $28 so I grabbed all three. I've used this oil before and I love the way it makes my skin feel and look. After DJ I went downstirs to Kikki K and picked up a Cute Diary pack for $20.97 reduced from $34.95 and Bucket List journal from $17.47 reduced from $24.95. I have only discovered Kikki K recently and think it is very cute store. On the way to the ...

Boxing Day 2015

I spent three days at home lounging around, watching TV and taking naps. It was wonderful but I started to get a cabin fever so today I decided to get out and check out the shops. Shopping on Boxing day in suburban shopping centers scarred me for a while with standstill car parks, people everywhere, screaming kids and mostly useless leftover stock on offer. So I figured Brisbane CBD was my best bet. I found car park on the street straight away only short 5 minute walk from the center. Queen street mall was still packed with crowds and I saw few shops letting only limited numbers of people at a time (Windsor Smith and Hype). I went to Zara, David Jones and Myer (only one level as I couldn't handle going up the escalators), L'Occitane and Topshop. I didn't bother with the change rooms as the line ups were huge and I though it would be easier to return something instead (like the cute yellow dress I picked up from Topshop but it just doesn't suit me). Anyways I ended...

January Sales

My most needed and anticipated purchase of post-holidays sales was a new laptop. I was shopping around for few months until I found Acer Aspire E1. It cost me $745 from MSY but it has very good specs - i7 processor, 8 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. It has windows 8 which I am still getting used to. The bathroom storage issues been solved with this Freedom Furniture Ashton drawers set ($87), now my lotions, potions and hair tools are neatly stored in these drawers. I tend to pick something up from Lorna Jane around this time of the year, this time I got these comfortable and versatile Chloe tights that feature high waist and give very good core support. I prefer full length tights over all other types as they tend to be the most comfortable and can be worn all year round. They have 20% off already reduces prices so they set me back $64 I have to rely on public transport to get me to and from work so  I am always on a lookout for light work clothes. I love th...

Boxing Day Sales 2013...part 2

When I went shopping on 26/12 it was way too busy to browse properly...so I had to go again. My first stop was Chemist Warehouse. The had 50% off Maybelline, Rimmel and Revlon  I got Kate Moss for Rimmel matte lipstick in 107 - deep burgundy red, Maybelline Master Liner in Brown (I had this one before and it was pretty good, plus I find brown liners are more flattering for me than black ones). Nivea Facial Cleansing wipes, my staple...and... Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple  ...the most flattering sheer red even I can pull off (thanks to Laura ) A lot of beauty bloggers been writing about Lush sale. I wasn't a frequent Lush shopper but discovered few amazing goodies on Lush sale.  Rose Jam Shower Gel is a clear winner! It is one of the most gorgeously scented body products I've come accross...smells like Turkish Delight and Berries. Get it while you can, it is a LE product. I also got couple of bath bombs, orange soap and in-shower body butter (which ...

Boxing Day 2013

This morning Brisbane CBD appeared to be deceivingly sleepy and empty. We found parking straight away and went for a relaxing stroll through empty streets. It was nice until we reached the mall. It was crazy busy and several shops even had lines going out the door. I couldn't handle endless lines and crowds so I just went to few shops and got things I had my eye on for sometime. My first stop was L'Occitane. I love their products and perfumes so I knew I would walk out with a thing or two. I ended up getting.... 1. Delice Des Fleurs EDT 75ml...$29, reduced from $58 Smells like sugared violets and roses. The sugar is quite dry and powdery as opposed to being sticky so you end up with gourmand fragrance lingering on your skin. I am not a huge fan of sweet scents because most of them smell too cheap or suffocating but this one is very very yum and pleasant. I am in love with very French frosted bottle too. 2. Eau Captivante Cologne 50 ml...$28, reduced from $40 Very refr...
