Only 2 weeks to go...

Image
I can't believe how fast last few months flew past. In two weeks time I'll be celebrating our wedding!  I feel like I have most things organised by now so it is just last minute bits and pieces that I have to do. I am very glad that this weekend is a long weekend! I started my day at Oscar Oscar hairdresser in the city.    My appointment was pre-booked 8 weeks ahead. I walked in at 9 and walked out at 12 30, the service was wonderful but I nearly fell asleep. I had full head of foils and a haircut done. I never walked out disappointed, I get done what I want there :) I think it is a bit pricey to go there for routine maintenance but I don't mind spending more if i want something special. My next mission was to find a perfect pair of earrings to wear at my wedding. Myer had absolutely nothing exciting. David Jones had few nice designer pieces but nothing I

Project 10 pan...Jan - March'13

I finished another lot of 10 items. It is good to see that I am making some sort of progress, I even had to buy a foaming cleaner because I had none left! 1. Dior Skinflash Concealer/Highlighter  I love this add with Monica Bellucci, her make-up is flawless here   My overall impression - The packaging was gorgeous (silver metal tube with Dior signature plus it came with silk pouch). The product itself was very similar to other pen highlighters like YSL Touche Eclat. It is good for subtle concealing and highlighting but it won't hide major imperfections. Would I buy it again? - Yes, I am slowly becoming a fan of very light, barely-there make-up 2. Elizabeth Ardent Green Tea Shower Gel 200ml     My overall impression - Beautifully scented and refreshing shower gel that complements my beloved Green Tea Skin Scent. I picked it up in a set with 100ml Green Tea fragrance, 5ml mini plus 200ml body lotion for something like

A lot of shops seem to be having mid-season sales ATM. So I finally gave in and went shopping. I had few things on my wishlist and needed few basics so I ended up getting... 1. WITCHERY Amy Nude Pumps...RRP$149.95...paid $63.96  Witchery currently has 20% off already reduced items. I really wanted these shoes when they were just got reduced to $99.95. However I saw many pairs in store and decided to wait...Then price came donw to $79.95 and with 20% off I ended up paying less than half of RRP! I love them! They will go with almost anything, wide heel makes them very comfortable and patent leather wears a lot better than regular leather. I always had a good luck with Witchery shoes and been buying them for years. 2. COUNTRY ROAD  Country Road has 25% off already reduced items.    Drop Shoulder T-Shirt RRP$49.95...paid $14.96 Basic loose-fitting semi-sheer tee. It is made from linen blend fabric so it flows nicely. I see myself wearing it a lot. I needed a good-

My Fiancé is having his Bucks Night this weekend so I am looking forward to some "me" time! I went to my local shopping centre and got few bits and pieces to make my weekend alone extra special T2 I wanted XL wide tea cup so I can take my time and enjoy it for a while. This one was recommended to me and it is perfect. I love its size, shape and pattern!   I got All Sorts and Gorgeous Geisha tea bags and got Creamy Choc Chai for free! They have special promotion ATM when you spend over$50 you get a pack of loose leaf tea from their Chocolate range.   Something to read... I got Harper's Bazaar because it came with very cure Karen Walker necklace!  I love it...so simple yet goes with so many things. It comes in yellow too  ...and I found these two for $9.95 each!  Looking forward to drinking tea, reading, cuddling with my cats, sleeping in and going to the gym this weekend!

Top 10 products under $30...Make-up

At one time I went through a phase of buying expensive make-up thinking that cheaper alternatives won't do a very good job. Yes, there are certain HG products that cost fair bit and you just have to bite a bullet and splurge on them. However I've discovered lots of great make-up items for under $30. They are also easily obtainable from Priceline, Big W, Target etc. So here is my top 10 1. L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick  I've been using this lipstick for years and must say that this is one of my favourite lipsticks ever! It is highly pigmented, non-drying and comes in very gorgeous shades. They retail for $21.95 but you can often get them on sale from Target, Big W and Pharmacies for $10-18 2. Bourjois Blush  Did you know that original Bourjois blush was created way back in 1863 by Alexandre Napoleon Bourjois for stage performers in Paris! 150 years later it is still a cult beauty product. It applied beautifully, blends well and comes in a huge range of shade

Life and Death of my Clarisonic Mia

Image
Remember I got myself a Clarisonic Mia for my Birthday in November? Well, it died few weeks ago. Luckily it was purchased from Myer so I got my money back (yay). I was using it 5-7 times per week but one day it just wouldn't charge. I tried again and again but nothing happened. I was hoping that it will make my skin nice and clear before my wedding. I can't say that I miss it. Initially my skin looked better but then it got used to it and my small breakouts on forehead came back. When it broke I haven't really noticed any changes so it was a sign that it wasn't working well for me. I'm glad that I purchased it from Myer and not from ebay or internet store, getting money back for it was the best thing ever! My friend who used to work as Chanel Beauty SA suggested that my breakout is most likely due to sweating. She told me to clean my skin well after working out plus go the classic cleanse-tone-moisturise routine. I must admit that lately I was cleansing on
